Healthy forests are vital for climate regulation, biodiversity, and livelihoods across Asia and the Pacific. The 31st Session of the Asia-Pacific Forestry Commission (APFC31) and Asia-Pacific Forestry Week 2025, held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, convened governments, experts, civil society, and communities to advance sustainable forest management.

The event fostered collaboration and innovation, focusing on key priorities such as responsible value chains, biodiversity mainstreaming, integrated fire management, and forest-based bioeconomy approaches. These efforts aim to protect forests, strengthen resilience, and support a sustainable future for the region. Learn more at FAO.
