Plants are fundamental to our food systems but are constantly threatened by pests and diseases spreading globally. Plant biosecurity is crucial, serving as the primary defense for food security by protecting crops, livelihoods, and international trade.

Under the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), countries collaborate to preserve global plant health. Learn more at the International Plant Health Day website.
